In 2011, SmallWorld supported the Kuwaiti organization Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice, a center that provides care and comfort for children with terminal illnesses. The funds raised by SmallWorld were dedicated to building a beautiful auditorium; a space where children can gather, learn, and feel at home away from home.
This project continues to bring moments of joy and togetherness to the children and their families.
Lebanon
Lebanese Autism Society The Lebanese Autism Society is an taken by parents of children with Medicine professionals and Educators. initiative Autism, Through SmallWorld 2011, the Lebanese Autism Society was able to provide Psychological and Special Education Assessments around Lebanon, as well as psychomotor and Speech Therapy, Intervention Sessions in Special Education.
Turkey
Disable Sports Support and Education Foundation (TESYEV) is the Turkish partner for 2011. The Foundation aided, through SmallWorld in the development of activities for disabled children; all children deserve the right to play
Yemen Socatra
SmallWorld has been able to build a fully equipped nursery next to a school for hundreds of children in Socarta–Yemen, allowing those children to have access to basic education and preparatory curriculum before they join their school. This project was an essential part in the lives of children who did not have anywhere to go or anything to do or learn at a very young age . This nursery will give them the opportunity to get ready for the school years and enhance their future education.
UAE
Our second NGO partner in the UAE supports children with special needs. The center mainly cares for children with intellectual impairment and Down syndrome. 14 children with different disabilities have been sponsored by SmallWorld with the hopes that we will be supporting them even more through our 2014 fundraising campaign.
