Mrs. Debby Burton-Shaw - Honorary Secretary and Trustee - Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)

Mrs. Debby Burton- Shaw is a commercial lawyer and regulatory specialist. She was based in Towers & Hamlins’ Abu Dhabi office from 2004 until April 2021. Debby advises a wide range of clients, including UAE government departments and private companies on all aspects of UAE Law. Debby regularly advises governments on the restructuring and privatization of public utilities, she has advised the governments of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jersey and several Caribbean countries. Debby relocated to the UK in April 2021 and continues to advise UAE and UK clients.

During her time in Abu Dhabi, Debby was Hon. Legal Advisor to H.M Ambassador to the UAE (2017-2021) and Chair of the Board of Governors of the British School Al Khubairat, the only not for profit British School in Abu Dhabi (2018-2021).

In June 2021, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth awarded Debby membership of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire M.B.E., for her services to the British community in Abu Dhabi.
